Salomon kart is based on the 3V but then somebody injected a bit of fun in to the mould adding the rocker and making the dimensions a bit bigger the ski instead of being an outright piste ski is now more of a all mountain ski.
On piste it cuts through ice like butter like its pedigree suggest, but slush, crud and powder it can handle in fact on a steep sunny gully off piste on the Monte rosa glacier it handle it fine. If you are the type of person that likes the race skis but ends in a mess of piste try this ski, also its £125 cheaper than the 3V not sure why.
